Praying Psalm 17
Thank you Father for listening to me, and for attending to my heart. You give me your full attention and don’t miss a single word I say. Even the silent words I can’t say because they are tucked so deeply away, are precious to you.

Thank you for answering me, and giving me your thoughts on the things that weigh heavy on my heart. You incline your ear to me, bending closer in love showing me I am important to you and that I have a place in your heart.

Please show me today more of your wonderful, steady, love. In all that’s changing around me it comforts me that your love will not change. Your affection is my refuge and my safe place.

You pull me close to your heart and hide me there. Knowing I am covered and protected beside you, gives me rest. Your eyes are fixed on me and You keep me as the apple of your eye. You will not get distracted or forget about me and your love does not waver.

I am aware more than ever that the enemy is real, that there is danger and that our world is not as safe as I once believed, but your word says I am safe in you.

This world has nothing I desire and it is passing away. You God are my portion and my reward. You are eternal and when it’s all said and done, I will get more of what I already have it’s true. I will get lasting treasure -I will get all of You!
